Our new branch in Perafita, Portugal
Since July 2022, we have been able to count various locations in Portugal among the Galliker Group. In addition to the central location in Perafita (Porto), a further four platforms, three in Portugal and one in Madrid, Spain, are part of the branch network of the new Galliker subsidiary. The logistics locations in Portugal found their way to the Galliker Group through the takeover of the Portuguese logistics company Veltrans - this means that its many years of experience in the cargo and automotive parts logistics sector with reliable freight transport between Portugal, Spain and the Benelux countries, as well as reliable services and high quality, are also being transferred to Galliker. The move to the Iberian peninsula has created new synergies for the Galliker Group in the international business area.
More than 60 employees and a fleet of 44 commercial vehicles are at work for our customers - at the same time, Galliker has acquired a truck driving school in Braga, north of Porto. The aim of the training center for truck drivers is to prevent the increasing shortage of good drivers and to prepare young people for future employment in the Galliker Group.
